if you thought you knew what an action was
try reading this without reference to your own thinking

1.
actions happen, events happen
what does not happen is not an action or an event
what did not happen was not an action or an event
what does not happen, did not happen
might have happened
could have happened
should have happened
should not have happened
are but imaginary speculation
existing only in a world of perpetual posssibility
a life lived in speculation is an invitation to suffering
a life lived in action is an invitation to freedom
all that can accurately be said of every action is
that it took place
every action takes place
the taking place of an action
incorporates location in time and space
every action takes place in spacetime
location in time is duration
location in space is separation
duration is time
time is duration
separation is space
space is separation
an action is a moment of time in a specific place
any moment of time in any coordiante of space
is always a unique action

exclusive to that unique spacetime location

2.
all objects can be broken down into constituent objects
all objects can be assimilated into composite objects
all actions can be broken down into constituent actions
all actions can be assimilated into composite actions
all objects can be broken down into constituent actions
all actions can be broken down into constituent objects
all objects are objects of perception
all actions are objects of perception
all objects are acts of perception
all actions are acts of perception
all actions are objects
all objects are actions
an object is a perceptual extraction from the totality of space
an action is a perceptual extraction from the totality of time
the totality of space is infinity
the totality of time is eternity
a perceptual extraction is determined
by the structure of the perceptual system
the nature of any object is perceptual
the nature of any action is perceptual
no action has inherent selfnature
no object has inherent selfnature
no action has inherent selfsubstance
no object has inherent selfsubstance
self substance is a concept extracted from perception
self nature is a concept extracted from perception
concepts are extractions from perception
perceptions are extractions from infiniteternity
infinteternity is a concept extracted from that which actually is
concepts are extractions from that which actually is
perceptions are extractions from that which actually is
objects are extractions from that which actually is
actions are extractions from that which actually is
extraction from that which actually is is an act of perception
an object is always an act of perception
an action is always an act of perception
an object is always an object of perception
an action is always an object of perception
the existence of an object occurs as an act of perception
the existence of an action occurs as an act of perception
existence is an act of perception
existence is perceptual
no object has any inherent existence
no action has any inherent existence
objects are appearences in perception
actions are appearences in perception
appearences are objects of perception
appearences are actions of perception
all objects are by nature perceptual
all actions are by nature perceptual
the existence of an object is by nature perceptual
the existence of an action is by nature perceptual
the existence of an object is an appearance
the existence of an action is an appearance
appearance is the nature of existence

3.

action apparently involves three agencies
the apparent action, the apparent subject and the apparent object

because of the inextricabality of an apparent action from totalactivity
it is not a separate individual action
it is the inevitable localised fruition of every other apparent action
or the localised expression of totalactivity
it is actually one inextricable and inevitable aspect of totalactivity
and only apparently an action
there is no such actuality as an action

because of the inextricabality of an apparent subject from totality
it is not a separate individual subject
it is the inextricable agent
of the localised fruition of every apparent action
it is the localised inevitable and involuntary agent of totality
it is actually one inextricable and inevitable aspect of  totality
and only apparently a subject
there is no such actuality as a subject

because of the inextricabality of an apparent object from totality
it is not a separate individual object
it is the indivisible recipient
of the localised fruition of every  apparent action
it is the localised  inevitable and involuntary  recipient of totality
it is actually one inextricable and inevitable aspect of  totality
and only apparently an object
there is no such actuality as an object

even an apparent action can have no subject
the apparent subject is actually  another object
the active object
the active object is the instrument of apparent action but not the subject
the subject of an apparent action is its cause
the cause of every apparent action is the totality of activity

there being no object that can be the subject of action
there is no doer of any action
actions are simply done
the doing occurs inevitably and impersonally
through the instrumentality of the activeobject
the doing is the inevitable result of totalactivity
the doing is an impersonal aspect of totality
inexclusively dependent nevertheless
on localisations of instrumental agencies and intentions
decisions and choices
taking place in and as local and specific
unique and conditioned
instrumental objects

totality is responsible for all actions
when those actions occur through the agency of a human instrument
the illusion of volition can arise
this illusion results from the minds recognition of the possibility of an action:
when this recognition occurs just before the action itself
it can be associated with the action as its cause
this association generates the concept of volition
the instrument appears to decide to act according to its independent autonomous intent
the apparent intentionality of the action implies its personal nature
the action then becomes identified with its instrument
this identification  implies that the instrument
has freedom and responsibility
both freedom and responsibility, destiny and bondage are illusory
illusions that rest on the assumption of  a causal subject to actions

the human instrument, like any other
is devoid of any independence, volition or choice
the actions it takes are inevitable and impersonal
resulting from the localisation of  totalactivity
within the spacetime coordinates that define the object instrument
the space time coordinates of any object instrument are its actions
an object cannot be separated from its spacetime coordiantes
an action cannot be separated from its spacetimecoordinates
an object cannot be separated from its actions
an object is its actions and its inherent tendencies
upon the activation of which its actions depend
the inherent tendencies of an object are conditioned by prior actions and experinces
its actions do not result from its inherent tendencies
which are simply contributive factors of the instruments agency
the instrument is simply the incidental agent
it is not the cause of any of its actions

the subject, cause and source of all action is totality
each action within its expression is inevitable and impersonal
while everything that happens is being done
there is no one as opposed to any other doing anything
only agents or instruments of action
conditioned to their instrumentailty by all other agents and instruments
which when human tend to infer volition, independence and responsibility
and by that inference generate suffering
from which inferred bondage escape is sought
this is the inevitable effect of consciousness manifesting
locally as nervous systems capable of cognitive reflection
or consciousness localised as a human being
the subject and cause of all action is consciousness
the totality of all activity is the expression of consciousness
totalactivity is the form of consciousness
totality is consciousness
consciousness is the source of every action

consciousness localised
identifies its inherent unlocalised attribute
of freedom
with the instrument of its localisation
wherein that nonlocal freedeom
suggests intent or volition to local decisions
this is maya
the playful illusion
the unmasking of which
there is noone to bring about
its happening can only be an inevitable and impersonal event
in the inevitable and impersonal fabric of totality

4.
all actions happen
as a result of the totality of spacetime coalescing
in an instrument
uniquely coordinated to that action
by previous actions in spacetime

the coordination of actions in spacetime
may or may not
be preceded
by cognition of their imminence
(the socalled decision)

all actions result
from the inexorable thrust of historical spacetime
but as the instruments of those predetermined actions
are ignorant of their destiny
they do not know what their actions are yet to be
if an action required by the inexorable thrust of historical spacetime
requires the contribution of effort, choicemaking
or any other happening in the mind or body of the instrument
it will be forthcoming
if not, not

chioce, effort and action
are all the remit of the historical totality of spacetime circumstance
they need not be predetermined by the instrument
but sometimes are
in the guise of decision making
this decision is not the cause of the action
nor even its local trigger
it is simply the local recognition in the instrument
of the inevitability
of the coalescence of the historical totality of spacetime circumstance
into this very coordination of that totality
now and here
as this action

thus
there is always something to be done
but the what thereof is beyond the choicemaking
of the instrumental agent
which nevertheless may be triggered to the action
by the historical totality of spacetime circumstance
through the precognition of its evantuality
as if an independent autonomous decision

5.
actions take place in spacetime.
actions in the present result from the fruition of
the inevitable, imperfectable, irrevocable, impersonal, indivisible and infinite
matrix of actions constituting the past.
actions in the present constitute
an inevitable, imperfectable, irrevocable, impersonal, inextricable
knot in the tapestry of the future.
neither the past nor the future
could have the form they do without the participation of the present
just as it is.
the present just as it is
is an inevitable expression
of that which has happened
and that which will happen.
all actions belong only to the matrix of totality
they cannot be attributed to any separable part.
no separation of  apparently selfsubstantial parts
from the matrix of totality can be made accept as a symbol.
the only entity to which action pertains is the matrix of totality:
inevitable, imperfectable, irrevocable, impersonal, indivisible and infinite.
while actions do occur
events do take place
and aspects of these events can be conceptualised in relation to causation
no entity other than the totality
can be truly said to be bringing about or experiencing
these actions or events.

other than the matrix of totality
there is neither a doer nor an experiencer.
as actions are converging on every spacetime moment
from an infinity of directions
that object which is both receiving and transmitting an action
is being continually  brought into apparent existence
by each action within which it participates.
its existence is
simply as an inevitable, impersonal, inextricable link
in the infinite  matrix of activity.
causation of any action
incoprorates the inevitable, imperfectable, irrevocable, impersonal, indivisible and infinite tapestry of actions constituting the past.
the instrumental subject of an action is therefore not its cause.
it is simply the immediate causative link
in the infinite chain of causation constituting the past.
the object of an action
is that which is subject to its impact immediate in time and space.
it is the first link
in the infinite chain of effectivity
of that action constituting the future.
the past and future constitute an irrevocable and irreducible totality
that is inferred and indicated
by any identifiable action of which it is constituted.
if the subject of an action is not its cause
but simply the temporal fruition
of the indivisible, inevitable, imperfectable, impersonal  and infinite
causation of totality
it cannot be the owner of that action
merely the agent.

the local instrument of an action (subject)
and its local recipient (object)
exist as such only in the moment of that action.
existence is instrumental of action.
actions, instruments, experience and existence
are only apparent extractions from the matrix of totality.
extraction is only apparent.
both the extracted and the extraction are an appearance.
appearance is existence in and as spacetime.
spacetime appearance is the matrix.
the matrix is the great play of consciousness.
consciousness is the player of the matrix.
there is only one play.
there is only one player.
there is only one consciousness.
thou art that.
