in and out
passing by i met a heart of fire
flesh soft with the ripe strength of courage
eyes that set the sun of my thought
settled the stars of my dreams
easily i to her and she to me
surrendered the secrets of our individual beauty
without falter she of me and i of her accepted
watch the sun shine gold and into colours on a wave
then scatter uncalled into cloud
of position, past, purpose
cared not nor asked she nor i
seeking nothing
but the easy resolution of that pressing power
naturally we came
to the fertile borders of our bodies
where the brimming river of their meeting ran
with the wine of uncorked passion
one rhythm two soft bodies drummed into the dark
intoxication of ascent perfect celebration
and there was no descent no aftermath
no baited questions, no demands
just the easy passing harmony of coincidental rhyme
leaving the subtle rustle of a whispering wind
whose source and destination matter not
to the blood in our cheeks the power in our hands
while i and she remain
where we have always always been
